About the position

The Senior Content & Affiliate Marketing Manager at Johnson Outdoors is responsible for developing and executing global content marketing strategies that enhance brand performance and drive business goals across various outdoor brands. This role involves leading content initiatives, managing influencer and affiliate marketing programs, and ensuring alignment with eCommerce objectives. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide a team and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize marketing efforts and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive comprehensive content marketing strategies and plans to improve brand equity and generate revenue.
  • Collaborate with Performance Media and Integrated Marketing to align content marketing needs with broader Digital Marketing strategies.
  • Plan and create content from external sources for various marketing channels including digital ads, social media, and email marketing.
  • Lead influencer management strategy and oversee plan development and performance monitoring.
  • Oversee the development of organic social strategies and performance against KPIs.
  • Launch and manage a Community of Practice to share success metrics and best practices.
  • Ensure consistency of content globally across business units and optimize for platform search.
  • Own tools used for content development and distribution.
  • Collaborate with Digital Analytics to measure the impact of content and optimize approaches based on analysis.
  • Develop and ensure effectiveness of affiliate marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze affiliate performance metrics to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of affiliate marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing organic social and affiliate marketing programs.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and guide teams effectively.
  • Experience in developing and executing content strategies for multiple brands.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to identify trends and optimize campaigns.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and digital asset management.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization for search engines.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing business partnerships across multiple business units.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the full content development process from brief writing to content creation and curation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing internal and external resources for content development.
