About the position

The Senior Content Designer will join the Experience Design (XD) Discovery + Foundations team at Netflix, focusing on creating intuitive and personalized member experiences across various platforms. This role involves crafting copy for onboarding, profiles, and user education, while shaping Netflix's brand voice and tone for a global audience. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user engagement through effective content strategies and language frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on UX and UI strategy, focusing on language and information.
• Identify and define personalized experiences on Netflix, designing simple solutions to complex user problems.
• Use data and insights to provide the right information at the right time for users.
• Create clear, frictionless experiences that are on-brand and suitable for global audiences.
• Manage multiple Content Design projects from ideation to execution, including concepting and content strategy.
• Rationalize UX solutions with data and improve designs through feedback.
• Initiate innovation projects and identify opportunities to enhance existing projects.
• Partner with Design leadership to evolve Netflix's guidelines and standards.
• Embrace a culture of experimentation and A/B testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience writing for consumer-facing digital products.
• Ability to work autonomously and make strategic decisions independently.
• Portfolio demonstrating Content Design and user-focused product design strategy.
• Experience working on UX for personalization features.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and people skills.
• Ability to think critically about user journeys and content flows.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with language-focused experiment design.
• Familiarity with personalization features and algorithms.
• Ability to flex writing style from value propositions to tactical microcopy.
