About the position

The Senior Content Marketing Manager at Unity will play a pivotal role in driving global marketing and sales efforts for the Unity Industry platform, which is the leading Real Time 3D rendering development platform utilized by millions of developers worldwide. This position is focused on creating a rich pipeline of content that showcases how Unity Industry can be applied to various industrial use cases, including product configuration, simulation, operations, and human-machine interfaces (HMI). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing whitepapers, ebooks, best practice guides, blogs, and webinars that highlight the value of Unity's technology in real-world applications. In this role, you will be a customer marketer, managing the pipeline of reference customers and the relationships that come with it. You will report to the Customer Marketing team and collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Creative, Communications, and Growth Marketing teams to define the content strategy and roadmap. Your efforts will be aimed at achieving specific business objectives related to brand awareness, product adoption, and revenue generation. The position requires a strong emphasis on crafting compelling content that supports integrated growth marketing campaigns. You will lead and manage content creation for various marketing programs, write your own content regularly, and optimize it based on performance data. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating customer story content that aligns with growth marketing campaign goals and developing web content through a content management system (CMS). Your ability to translate complex technical topics into simple, impactful concepts for a diverse audience will be crucial to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Industry Content Marketing team, Product Marketing team, Growth Marketing, Customer Success, and other business units to develop the content strategy for integrated growth marketing campaigns.
  • Craft a rich, continuous pipeline of compelling content in support of overall go-to-market strategy and plans that will generate leads and drive conversions, used across multiple touch points in the user journey.
  • Lead and manage content creation for integrated Marketing programs.
  • Write your own content on an everyday basis and own its performance, optimizing based on data.
  • Own the pipeline of customer references and those relationships, creating customer story content that supports growth marketing campaign goals.
  • Develop and publish web content via a CMS, translating complex technical topics into simple, high-impact concepts for industry professionals.

Requirements

  • Experience in successfully marketing complex, technical B2B products or services with demonstrated ability to create content that performs.
  • Proven ability to write long-form content in a fast-paced environment, adapting to brand style and tone while aligning content with overall marketing narrative and storytelling.
  • Ability to build thoughtful, strategic, and actionable plans to completion, even in the presence of ambiguity.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • An open, learning mindset driven by curiosity, empathy, and a drive for self-development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to rapidly grasp complex technical details and potential use cases for technology/innovation across a wide spectrum of game-related technology domains.
  • Background in or experience writing for software developers or other technical personas.
