We are currently seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to spearhead our content strategy and development team. This role is pivotal in managing the overall success of marketing content at Ping, which includes supporting our marketing campaigns, enhancing our SEO efforts, and executing various strategic plans. The Senior Content Marketing Manager will report directly to the Creative Director of Ping's internal Creative Agency and will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative and messaging that resonates with our audience. In this position, you will lead the content strategy, advising on content creation and guiding development to align with our marketing goals. You will be responsible for writing and reviewing a diverse range of content types, including blogs, white papers, web pages, infographics, and videos. Ensuring consistency in brand voice, tone, and style across all content and channels will be a key focus. You will oversee content production within our internal agency, assess project requests, and prioritize tasks effectively. Additionally, managing an editorial calendar and production deadlines will be essential to your role. You will evaluate journey maps and content performance metrics to recommend actionable insights, collaborate with external agencies to ensure content quality, and manage a team of full-time employees and contractors, providing them with guidance and direction. Furthermore, you will maintain an organized content inventory to facilitate easy access for marketing and sales teams, while also researching the latest content trends, customer needs, important keywords, and competitor content to keep our strategies relevant and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Lead content strategy; advise on content creation and guide development to meet marketing goals.
  • Write and review various content types, including blogs, white papers, web pages, infographics, videos and more.
  • Enforce brand voice, tone and style across all content and channels.
  • Oversee content production as part of an internal agency, including assessing project requests and determining priorities.
  • Manage an editorial calendar and production deadlines.
  • Evaluate journey maps and content performance metrics to recommend actions.
  • Work with external agencies to ensure content alignment and quality.
  • Manage several full-time employees and contractors, providing guidance and direction.
  • Manage content inventory and organization to help marketing and sales easily find what they need.
  • Research latest content trends, customer needs, important keywords and competitor content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing.
  • Excellent writing skills, including copyediting and proofreading, and mastery of style and tone.
  • SEO knowledge and the ability to apply it to content in progress.
  • Understanding of content performance metrics and how to evaluate content quality.
  • Experience managing a team of content creators.
  • Strong project management skills; the ability to track multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
  • The ability to collaborate with many stakeholders and project participants.
  • Experience with Asana, Google Analytics and Salesforce preferred.
  • Knowledge of identity security or cybersecurity preferred.
