About the position

As a Senior Content Marketing Specialist at Dreyfus and Mellon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing narrative and content strategy for one of the largest cash and liquidity managers in the industry. This position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, and offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work three days in the office and two days remotely. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a comprehensive content agenda that captures and leverages the best research and insights from our teams to engage clients and prospects effectively. In this role, you will draft thought leadership pieces and provide copywriting support across various channels, including articles, white papers, webinars, brochures, presentations, and internal communications. You will also manage virtual events that showcase our personnel and thought leadership, overseeing everything from invitations to speaker preparation and event recordings. Establishing and managing new go-to-market campaigns will be crucial, as you will work closely with the marketing team to define core positioning and value propositions. Collaboration is key in this role; you will proactively partner with the wider marketing team to create a digital content plan that includes multimedia and social media distribution, supporting the broader content agenda. Building strong relationships with subject-matter experts and business development teams will enable you to deliver high-quality marketing materials that align with strategic growth priorities. You will need to meet concrete deadlines, utilizing your strong project management skills to ensure error-free content development and execution of internal and external events. Additionally, you will be responsible for adhering to editorial compliance standards and staying updated on emerging industry trends to identify new opportunities. Your ability to support or lead events as needed will further enhance your impact within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a content agenda for Mellon and Dreyfus, working as an integral part of the Marketing team.
  • Draft thought leadership and provide copywriting support across multiple channels, including articles, white papers, webinars, brochures, presentations, event announcements, and internal communications.
  • Manage virtual events that highlight our personnel and thought leadership, including invitations, speaker preparation, live events, and postings of recordings.
  • Establish and manage new go-to-market campaigns, including core positioning, value propositions, and scope with execution supported by the full marketing team.
  • Proactively partner with the wider marketing team on the creation of a digital content plan, including multi-media and social media distribution.
  • Build strong relationships and partner with subject-matter experts and business development teams to deliver best-in-class marketing materials.
  • Meet concrete deadlines, using strong project management skills to manage error-free content development and execution, internal and external events, and distribution.
  • Collaborate across the team to develop forward-thinking marketing and content in support of key strategic initiatives.
  • Know and adhere to editorial compliance standards and processes as well as standard operating procedures and policies for communications and events.
  • Stay up to date on emerging industry trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Support or lead events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing, content marketing or editorial roles preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in event management preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investments or financial services preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects to completion under strict deadlines using strong project management and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to take direction and work as part of a team or individually.
  • Ability to navigate a high-paced, often changing environment in a complex, highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Adobe Acrobat and Workfront preferred.
  • Experience with ethical use of AI technology to develop and/or edit content preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat Pro) a plus.
  • Experience in marketing communications and campaign/content production.
  • Experience collaborating on projects with varied cross-functional teams such as web specialists, designers, subject-matter experts, project managers, business development teams, and third-party vendors.
