About the position

The Senior Contract Administrator at CDM Smith plays a crucial role in supporting the Federal Service Unit's DHS FEMA Disaster Assistance Contracts. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and government regulations, managing complex contracts, and advising management on risk and compliance issues. The role offers flexible working options, including fully remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the lead on complex contracts of moderate risk.
  • Applies knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency-specific acquisition regulations to support compliance.
  • Prepares and reviews non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
  • Performs detailed review of solicitations and contracts, work orders, and other agreements to flag risk and compliance issues.
  • Advises company management on risk and compliance issues.
  • Supports project management staff in complying with administrative contractual requirements through the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates with client contract administration staff to facilitate processing of contract and project authorizations and amendments.
  • Negotiates contract clauses and budgets, and responds to client concerns.
  • Coordinates with other corporate departments to address contractual issues.
  • Confers with technical staff and project management on issues such as desirability of work, and terms and conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required, contingent on specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience managing federal service-based contracts with DHS FEMA Hazard Emergency Management Mitigation/Response.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
  • NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
