About the position

The Senior Control Automation Engineer at PeopleReady is responsible for designing and programming control systems for automated equipment. This role involves taking projects from concept to installation, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The engineer will work with various technologies including pneumatics and hydraulics, and will travel to customer sites for equipment installation and startup.

Responsibilities

• Design and program equipment to customer build specifications
• Safety circuit design and programming via safety PLC
• Conduct risk assessments and implement associated safety devices
• Create UL 508 certified designs
• Specify components and document control systems for various types of automated equipment
• Perform electrical/pneumatic design, machine PLC programming, and machine debug and certification for customer run-off
• Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment (25% of time)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in designing and programming control systems for automated equipment
• Associated degree in the field of employment
• Proficiency in PLC, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics
• Experience with AutoCad, Studio 5000, RS 500, FactoryTalk View, and other related Allen Bradley Software
• Background check required
