About the position

The Senior Conversion Designer at Indiana University is responsible for developing and optimizing digital strategies across various web and digital channels. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-centered designs that drive business outcomes, utilizing tools like Figma for wireframing and prototyping, and conducting data analysis to measure design effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Designs low and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and final designs using Figma.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop design solutions that drive specific business outcomes.
  • Assists the technical team in developing and refining templates for web and email to maximize conversions.
  • Provides page-level recommendations for layout optimizations using existing templates.
  • Conducts data analysis to measure the effectiveness of designs and iterates based on insights.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of user experience principles, usability standards, and web accessibility guidelines.
  • Utilizes tools like Helio for testing and optimization purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.
  • Demonstrates a high commitment to quality and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams to achieve design objectives.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
