About the position

The Senior Coordinator, HR Operations at Cardinal Health plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and administration of HR data transactions, processes, audits, and calculations. This position is integral to managing internal programs and projects that support the HR Service Center. The coordinator will utilize their knowledge of HR processes, technologies, and controls to initiate and complete routine employee data transactions while monitoring, auditing, and ensuring data integrity. This role involves maintaining and updating employee files, which includes the electronic management of over 8,000 pages of documents monthly, and processing employee records and data for both inbound and outbound fulfillment. The coordinator must adhere to strict employee data security and authorization regulations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations in partnership with Leave Management, Payroll, and Employee Data Management teams. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Coordinator will develop and maintain standard operating procedures for new or modified HR programs that impact employee data requirements. They will also be tasked with identifying root causes of data and process breakdowns, evaluating their impacts, and developing effective solutions. This position requires a high level of independence, as the coordinator will work within established procedures and may provide guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members. The role also involves working on cyclical projects related to small to medium-scale outbound mailings, contributing to the overall efficiency of HR operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete routine employee data transactions.
  • Monitor, audit, and ensure data integrity of HR processes.
  • Maintain and update employee files electronically.
  • Process employee records and data for inbound and outbound fulfillment.
  • Adhere to employee data security and authorization regulations.
  • Partner with Leave Management, Payroll, and Employee Data Management teams to ensure timely processing of paperwork.
  • Distribute on-demand checks as required.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for HR programs.
  • Identify root causes of data and process breakdowns and develop solutions.
  • Provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site 2-3 days per week.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of program/project management practices and solutions.
  • Knowledge of change management and business processes.
