About the position

A Senior Copywriter at Razorfish Health is tasked with the conception and execution of innovative materials for integrated, cross-channel initiatives, which include large web initiatives, online advertising, and digital marketing. This role requires a strong foundation in traditional advertising writing, coupled with specific experience in the pharmaceutical sector. The primary responsibility of the Senior Copywriter is to actively participate in shaping the creative strategy, demonstrating strong conceptual abilities, and providing unique solutions to various challenges. The Senior Writer is expected to stimulate ideas and inspire the team, fostering the development of their leadership skills. The Senior Copywriter will engage fully in the development of creative briefs and strategic and tactical plans, remaining vigilant to changes in the client's marketplace and evaluating work in light of the current marketing situation. This position involves direct collaboration with clients to develop solutions and present ideas effectively. The Senior Copywriter must work independently under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. They will articulate clear directions to studio teams, vendors, and junior staff, leveraging their expert knowledge of the science behind the products to innovate in their writing. Additionally, the Senior Copywriter will ensure that the tone and style of the copy are consistent with brand and style guidelines, interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics, and make sound decisions promptly. Upholding the highest standards for all agency work is crucial, as is maintaining agency performance standards in all direct reports.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of professional writing experience in an advertising or interactive agency.
  • 1-3+ years of Pharma or Health/Healthcare experience.
  • Previous mentor or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience working on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives including rich media, web, direct, and print.
  • Experience with online and social media is strongly preferred.
  • A strong and diverse portfolio is required for consideration.
  • Open to travel as needed for client engagements.
