About the position

The Senior Copywriter position at Weber Shandwick Boston involves working on high-profile healthcare accounts, driving creative vision, and crafting messaging direction. The role requires collaboration with a team of creative professionals and mentorship of junior writers, focusing on delivering engaging content across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Help drive overall creative vision for client projects.
• Craft overall messaging direction while maintaining consistency.
• Flex between short- and long-form copy including concept manifestos, digital/social copy, video scripts, pitches, and campaign support material.
• Provide mentorship to junior writers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams and take direction.
• Develop long-term creative plans and recommendations that meet client objectives.
• Join client meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions for ongoing projects.
• Build and maintain strong rapport with creative team colleagues, client leads, and project managers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of copywriting experience in a related agency or department (advertising, digital, social media, publishing/content, or public relations).
• Prior healthcare/public health experience.
• Must have a portfolio.
• Advanced knowledge of brand development, marketing/advertising, and the creative process.
