About the position

CoLab is seeking a Senior Copywriter of Creative who will play a pivotal role in the conception, design, and execution of innovative visual materials for integrated, cross-channel initiatives. This includes large web initiatives, online advertising, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual and design skills and will assist the Creative Director in enhancing the conceptual, technical, and creative performance of the team. The position requires collaboration with creative team members to determine concept, brand, and copy directions, ensuring that the copy tone and style align with brand and style guidelines. The Senior Copywriter will interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics, translating concepts into effective messages. This role involves contributing to brainstorming sessions and the development of creative briefs while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential, as the candidate will evaluate the work of Copywriters and Associates to ensure that relevant components are effectively leveraged. The Senior Copywriter will also be responsible for checking the alignment of relevance in every program they work on and reporting any misalignment to the Associate Creative Director (ACD). Understanding the needs, motivations, and aspirations of the target audiences is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with creative team members to determine concept, brand and copy directions
  • Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and style guidelines
  • Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Translate concepts into effective messages
  • Contribute to brainstorming and creative brief development
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and juggle writing demands
  • Evaluate the work of Copywriters and Associates to ensure relevance is leveraged appropriately
  • Check alignment of relevance constantly and report misalignment to the ACD
  • Communicate the goals of every program to the team consistently
  • Understand the needs, motivations, and aspirations relevant to the audiences

Requirements

  • Four year degree
  • 5-7 years experience
  • Creative agency experience desired
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Strong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives across mediums
  • Experience with online and offline media preferred
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
