About the position

The Senior Copywriter at Simantel is responsible for leading marketing teams and overseeing the creative direction of copywriting efforts. This role involves writing key account deliverables, setting messaging direction, and ensuring alignment with brand tone and voice. The position can be hybrid or fully remote, with specific in-office requirements for those in the Central Illinois area.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing teams and copywriters to set creative direction from a writing standpoint.
• Write key account deliverables and oversee copywriting across the content experience.
• Champion messaging and copy that aligns with client objectives and brand tone.
• Delegate activation tasks while owning high-visibility copy tasks such as messaging strategy and flagship scripts.
• Ensure effective delegation to meet copy needs on time and within budget.
• Align with Account Planner, Strategist, and Senior Art Director on messaging and copy.
• Assist in concepting, pitching, and selling creative content to achieve client goals.
• Maintain quality control over copy and messaging deliverables.
• Mentor less experienced writers on the team.

Requirements

• Expertise in concepting and writing, particularly in creative writing and video work.
• Strong communication skills for client presentations and creative discussions.
• Excellent organization and time management skills for delegating tasks and managing schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in digital marketing and social media writing.
• Familiarity with analytics and media strategies.
