About the position

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for creating and producing high-quality, business-relevant copy for various marketing channels at City National. This role involves developing content for B2B and B2C marketing deliverables, ensuring a consistent brand voice, and mentoring junior writers. The ideal candidate will collaborate with team members to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, create, and produce high-quality copy for various marketing channels including direct response, email, advertising, collateral, web, events, and content marketing.
• Present copy and concepts to clients, ensuring ideas are fresh, strategic, and on-brand.
• Develop copy for a wide range of marketing deliverables through the customer lifecycle.
• Establish and enforce the editorial style 'voice' for integrated marketing efforts.
• Supervise and mentor junior writers and manage external third-party writers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure brand standards are maintained and projects are delivered on time and on budget.
• Gather necessary research and information to complete projects.
• Edit, proofread, and provide feedback on project deliverables.
• Integrate revisions and suggestions from stakeholders into the final product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience writing for content marketing, direct response, digital, and lead generation purposes.
• Minimum 7 years of writing experience in a marketing and/or agency environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with creative copywriting in financial or highly regulated industries.
• Experience in a variety of marketing channels.
• Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
