About the position

The Senior Copywriter for the Marketing Copy Team at Electronic Arts (EA) plays a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of the company and its products. This position is part of a dynamic team dedicated to telling the story of EA and harnessing the positive power of play. The Marketing Team is responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision of EA's products, running world-class multi-channel campaigns, and ensuring that the brand is represented excellently across all platforms. The Marketing Copy Team, in particular, is focused on producing high-volume, high-quality copy that resonates with audiences across EA's most popular franchises, including The Sims, Battlefield, EA SPORTS FC, and Need for Speed. As a Senior Copywriter, you will be tasked with creating compelling copy specifically for the Battlefield franchise. This role requires a writer who not only possesses a strong background in marketing copy but also understands the unique sensibilities of an action-packed franchise like Battlefield. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with various partner teams to produce a wide range of materials, from emails to in-game assets. The thrill of seeing your words come to life on gaming platforms like Xbox and PlayStation, reaching millions of players, is a significant aspect of this role. You will be part of a global team, working both locally and remotely, and will report directly to the Creative Lead of the Marketing Copy Team.

Responsibilities

  • Write end-to-end campaign copy across the EA and first-party marketing ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with design teams to maintain visual consistency and messaging across multiple brand-level campaigns under the guidance of EA SPORTS creative and senior leadership.
  • Integrate creativity and technology to enhance the team's production process and make it more efficient and partner-friendly.
  • Engage with various teams and partners throughout the marketing organization, demonstrating a deep sense of curiosity and a willingness to ask questions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a marketing copywriter with a portfolio showcasing short-form copy (emails, ad banners, web copy, etc.).
  • Experience in managing brand campaigns from vision to completion.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry or video game sector is a significant advantage.
