About the position

The Senior Copywriter at City National Bank is responsible for creating high-quality, business-relevant copy across various marketing channels. This role involves developing content for both B2B and B2C marketing deliverables, ensuring a consistent brand voice, and mentoring junior writers. The ideal candidate will collaborate with team members to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, create, and produce creative copy for various marketing channels including direct response, email, advertising, collateral, web, events, and content marketing.
• Gather necessary research and information to complete projects.
• Develop copy tailored to project requirements.
• Present concepts and creative work to clients as part of a team.
• Lead and train junior writers.
• Edit, proofread, and provide feedback on project deliverables.
• Integrate revisions and suggestions from stakeholders into the final product.
• Collaborate with creative, digital, and production staff to ensure copy accuracy and appropriateness for specific marketing channels.
• Develop and maintain the bank's Editorial 'Voice' Style Guide.
• Write and edit marketing content in support of the bank's marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience writing for content marketing, direct response, digital, and lead generation purposes.
• Minimum 7 years of writing experience in a marketing and/or agency environment.
