About the position

As a Senior Copywriter at Columbia Sportswear, you will be an integral part of the SOREL Marketing Team, responsible for crafting and editing copy across various platforms including web, email, and social media. This role emphasizes maintaining the brand's voice and tone while collaborating with the Global Creative Director and other marketing partners to develop compelling narratives that align with brand strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong passion for footwear and fashion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the highest editorial standard for all copy, ensuring it aligns with the evolving brand voice.
• Work directly with the Creative Director to communicate SOREL's brand voice consistently across consumer-facing channels.
• Lead copy creation for email, web, and product copy, crafting overarching stories and campaigns.
• Translate strategic marketing initiatives into informative and compelling copy solutions.
• Collaborate with graphic and digital designers to write headlines and taglines for marketing communications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in agency/in-house concepting or content creation roles, preferably in the design or lifestyle space under a global brand.
• Solid understanding of digital experiences and how to write for each channel (email, social media, paid media, wholesale, website, etc.).
• Experience managing time and establishing priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.
• Extreme attention to detail and a 'less is more' approach to copywriting.
• Pro-level skills in content strategy, with the ability to drive business objectives and compel users to action.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the footwear or fashion industry.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices for copywriting.
