About the position

The Senior Cost Analyst will perform a wide range of duties including building presentations for high-ranking acquisition leaders and conducting complex analyses with a high degree of quality and accuracy. This role requires a deep understanding of acquisition processes and DoD space programs, with the ability to independently perform all functional duties without oversight. The analyst will develop and maintain credible cost estimates for various programs throughout the acquisition life cycle, ensuring compliance with relevant program documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update credible, defensible, and replicable cost estimates for all programs in the Division's portfolio.
• Ensure all cost estimates are developed in accordance with applicable program documents, including the Cost Analysis Requirements Description and Program Work Breakdown Structure.
• Analyze Program Contractor cost estimates, including Engineering Change Proposals and Basis of Estimates, for consistency with government accepted cost estimating procedures.
• Utilize knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, and Space Command processes and procedures in functional responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or Cost Estimating/Analysis.
• At least three semester units of calculus.
• 12 years of experience in cost estimating activities for aircraft and/or spacecraft applications, with 5 years specifically in support of space and/or ground systems.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools and Cost Estimating Relationship (CER) databases.
• 3 years experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI.
