The Senior Credit Analyst position at First Horizon is a pivotal role that provides high-level analytical support in underwriting and analyzing commercial credit facilities. This position is essential for assisting Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers in managing customer relationships effectively. A Senior Credit Analyst is expected to deliver comprehensive credit analysis support for assigned lending relationships, ensuring that all underwriting guidelines and standards are met. In this role, the Senior Credit Analyst will interpret financial statements and provide critical financial analysis support that is utilized in underwriting complex Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans. The responsibilities include proactively ensuring that production tasks are prioritized and completed in a timely manner. Specific tasks involve financial statement spreading, completing financial analysis documents, updating and creating new requests, modifications, renewals, and annual reviews in the Bank's commercial loan system, as well as tracking and completing covenant monitoring. The analyst will also conduct industry research and develop a strong understanding of the Bank's commercial loan policy. The Senior Credit Analyst will participate in transaction structuring and relationship strategy meetings with management and credit partners, justifying and explaining information in the analysis when necessary. They will analyze and prepare complex credit approval documentation in the Bank's commercial loan system, ensuring that all loan terms, collateral, covenants, loan grade inputs, policy exceptions, and credit exposure calculations are accurately reflected. Additionally, the analyst will partner with Portfolio Managers to monitor and manage assigned commercial loan portfolios, which includes tracking covenants, recording financial statements, and monitoring company performance against expectations. This role requires not only accurate calculations and inputs but also thoughtful implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Senior Credit Analyst will engage in internal credit discussions with various stakeholders and participate in external meetings with clients and prospects. They may also lead special projects and assignments as needed, demonstrating a high level of ownership of personal performance metrics and team initiatives.
