About the position

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will leverage data analytics to develop and implement strategies that enhance the company's customer underwriting and account management processes. This role focuses on automating risk processes and improving operational efficiencies to drive profitable growth. The analyst will work on high-impact projects that require collaboration across various departments, ensuring that the company's risk management strategies are effective and aligned with emerging credit trends.

Responsibilities

  • Use data analytics to identify and mitigate credit risks associated with new customer origination and account management.
  • Own the full lifecycle of automating key risk processes, performance monitoring, and exception handling.
  • Research and develop new methods and tools to improve business processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk processes and performance.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging credit trends and adapt the company's strategies accordingly.
  • Implement statistical process controls to alert of meaningful changes in trends across the portfolio.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into statistical and machine learning paradigms.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards, documentation standards, using version control, and code repositories.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships with key areas of the business to ensure comprehensive strategy execution.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in a quantitative discipline (computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, math, operation management) or equivalent working experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in applying analytical and technical skills to automate operational workflows.
  • Proven success in analyzing large amounts of data to foster actionable business decisions.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in SQL, R, or Python.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and adapt quickly to new technologies.
