About the position

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst at Laserfiche plays a crucial role in assessing the creditworthiness of customers and managing the credit and receivables department's daily functions. This position involves analyzing financial transactions, making informed credit decisions, and collaborating with various departments to resolve credit and collections issues. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as effective communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess creditworthiness of existing and prospective Solution Providers and Direct customers
  • Examine, analyze, and review financial transactions, credit history (applications, financial statements, legal documents etc.)
  • Adhere to written policy documentation related to the credit and customer setup process
  • Make informed credit decisions within assigned authority, based on analysis and credit risk assessments
  • Handle multiple projects effectively
  • Contact banks, trade reporting agencies, trade credit references, salespeople and others to obtain necessary credit information
  • Maintain adequate electronic credit files in accordance with company policy
  • Resolve credit and collections issues as needed with customers while collaborating with other departments
  • Review and release of held orders pending credit decisions as appropriate
  • Ensure all reporting tasks are completed timely
  • Maintain collections for both SP and Direct customers, to include generating collection notices and follow-up communications
  • Generate and analyze reports as needed
  • Engage with customers, salespeople, and other teams on aged accounts to facilitate payment within terms
  • Process payments and other cash receipts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including GAAP processes related to credit analysis and accounts receivable
  • Concentration in credit analysis, A/R and collection experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and organize efficiently
  • Understanding of accounting software basics and proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; QuickBooks experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields
  • At least three years of credit / financial analysis and accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS office and general computer use
  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
  • Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
  • SaaS experience preferred.
