About the position

In the role of Senior Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer within gTech at Google, you will be at the forefront of advocating for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. Your mission will involve meeting partners and consumers where they are, providing support and assistance, and representing their needs with product partners. You will propose fixes and features that enhance user engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. This includes a range of product services aimed at optimizing user experiences globally, such as localization, digitization, and partner integration. As part of gTech, you will leverage your technical skills and product expertise to support customers worldwide. Your solutions will be rooted in a thorough understanding of complex customer needs, whether that involves crafting bespoke solutions for unique problems or developing scalable tools that benefit a wide range of users. You will also play a critical role in preparing the web and ad-tech ecosystems for significant changes that Chrome is implementing to enhance privacy on the web. This includes driving early testing and adoption of Privacy Sandbox APIs, collecting and synthesizing partner feedback, and providing technical and consultative support to strategic web partners. Your work will require you to understand and represent the diverse interests and needs of various partner, platform, and ad-tech verticals, such as News, Commerce, CMS, and CDNs. You will be responsible for integration solutions across multiple products and teams, acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders. This position is crucial in ensuring that Google's products are optimized for every user, regardless of their location or needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the web and ad-tech ecosystems for major changes Chrome makes to improve privacy on the web.
  • Drive early testing and adoption of Privacy Sandbox APIs while collecting, synthesizing, and sharing early partner feedback with Chrome product and engineering teams.
  • Provide technical and consultative support to strategic web partners to help them prepare, implement, test, and migrate to new Privacy Sandbox APIs, while satisfying business needs.
  • Understand and represent the various interests and needs of a diverse set of partner, platform, and ad-tech verticals (e.g., News, Commerce, CMS, CDNs).
  • Work on integration solutions across multiple products and teams, acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with industry advertising solutions, including targeting, remarketing, measurement and reporting, and experience working with the ad tech ecosystem.
  • Experience writing detailed technical documentation and excellent technical writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of the major tools, technologies (front and back-end) and challenges facing web developers.
  • Ability to distill disparate observations into structured insights/feedback and trend reports.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
