About the position

The Senior Cyber/Network Systems Engineer position at ENSCO Inc. involves supporting the Space Systems Command's Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (C3) portfolio. The role focuses on the integration and modernization of tactical C3 capabilities to enhance satellite operations and resilience. The engineer will engage in various stages of the acquisition life cycle, manage program authorities, and conduct cyber testing and assessments, while also reviewing contractor designs and leading technical discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and provide technical advice and assistance for projects and programs.
  • Manage program Authority to Operate, Authority to Test, and/or Authority to Connect.
  • Support cyber testing and assessment activities.
  • Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches and/or improvements to cybersecurity posture.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines and ensure system modifications meet requirements.

Requirements

  • MS/MA with more than 10 years of experience.
  • Knowledgeable in managing technical developmental projects with an emphasis on network development projects, network architecture, integrating cyber efforts, systems engineering, requirements development, software engineering, and algorithms.
  • Knowledgeable in systems engineering, technology development, government acquisitions, and space and intelligence systems.
  • Knowledgeable in interfacing with the cyber and DoD intelligence community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
  • Experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
  • IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Master's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
