The Senior Cyber Privacy Governance Analyst position at Sentara Health is a critical role focused on the implementation and administration of cyber privacy initiatives. This position is designed for a passionate cyber security professional who will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in information privacy. The analyst will be responsible for identifying emerging privacy technology trends, regulatory compliance requirements, and the privacy needs of the organization. This role aims to develop, establish, and maintain a cohesive privacy direction for Sentara Health, ensuring that the organization meets privacy requirements and government regulations for the protection of personal and sensitive information. Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Cyber & Privacy Governance, the Senior Analyst will assess privacy policies, procedures, and operations to identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities. They will recommend privacy controls to mitigate these vulnerabilities and reduce overall privacy risks. The analyst will also serve as a consultant to top management, impacting privacy policy and planning activities. A significant part of the role involves coordinating activities and meetings with departmental staff, preparing privacy training materials, and delivering presentations as part of the Cyber Security Training & Awareness Enterprise Program. The Senior Cyber Privacy Governance Analyst will analyze and develop policies and procedures related to information privacy for Sentara Health and its stakeholders, including regulators, health plans, and health providers. The incumbent will provide input to strategic decisions affecting the functional area of responsibility in both Cyber Security and the Chief Privacy Office. This role requires a proactive approach to managing enterprise-wide initiatives and ensuring compliance with privacy policies and standards.
