About the position

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst (Endpoint) at PSEG is a senior-level technical lead responsible for performing IT security functions and maintaining systems to protect the organization from cyber threats. This role involves implementing robust security measures, managing information security technologies, and providing technical guidance to the team. The analyst will assess and enhance the effectiveness of network and endpoint security measures, ensuring compliance with data protection policies and regulations while safeguarding sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Network, Endpoint, and Data security technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise in threat/risk assessments for Network, Endpoint, and Data security related activities.
  • Define, design, and implement Network, Endpoint, and Data (NED) security strategies to protect against emerging threats using security tools.
  • Perform security reviews on new NED technologies and changes to existing NED technologies.
  • Analyze log files from various sources to identify possible threats to network security.
  • Evaluate network infrastructure vulnerabilities to enhance capabilities being developed.
  • Utilize information security technologies effectively.
  • Support the response to security incidents as needed.
  • Support threat hunting functions to discover potential cybersecurity events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Math or Engineering, or 10 years of cyber experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 6 or more years of experience in Information Security.
  • Strong incident response and threat analysis experience, including SIEM technology.
  • Proficient in defining processes and procedures for incident response.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and ability to implement strong security in a cloud-first environment.
  • Broad knowledge of information systems including Windows security, network security, systems development, communication networks, security software/hardware, and operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
