About the position

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Cloud Security will be a key member of the Information Security team, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing cloud security solutions to meet the security and compliance needs of the organization. This role requires expertise in cloud security practices, including identity and access management, monitoring, and encryption, while collaborating with various teams to ensure robust security measures are in place across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and document security standards for Cloud platforms, ensuring governance from initial idea to completion.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to implement secure policies and settings within Cloud platforms (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS).
• Coordinate the implementation of security standards for common COTS applications and services within Cloud.
• Implement least privilege access policies within common Cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle).
• Maintain security standards based on NIST recommendations, specifically NIST 800-53.
• Provide security reviews for reference architectures and Engineering reviews for Security Risk Assessments associated with Cloud platforms.
• Implement new toolsets related to cloud security and automate cloud security processes.
• Develop documentation for all facets of Cloud configurations including identity and access management, network segmentation, and data protection.
• Support security teams with incident management and vulnerability remediation processes.
• Participate in DevSecOps processes and applications for automation.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred.
• 4+ years of IT or information security experience, with 2+ years in cloud technology.
• Experience designing and implementing technologies within cloud platforms.
• Expertise in cloud technology and influencing strategy for business and regulatory issues.
• Experience in process-driven environments and process optimization activities.
• Advanced knowledge of security principles and techniques across cloud platforms.
• Proactive problem identification and solving skills.
• Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle for technical leadership.
• Effective communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of cloud security experience.
• CISSP, CCSP, GCSA certifications preferred.
