About the position

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst supporting a national security program for our prestigious client at the highest levels of the government in the heart of our nation's capital. This is a Part Time role working approximately 12 hours per week onsite. Remote work is not available due to the secure nature of the work being performed. As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you have the lead responsibilities of monitoring, maintaining and analyzing overall threats and performance of the organization's enterprise technology platforms to support mission success. You will perform periodic analysis of communication network indicators of compromise (IOC) to report the findings to the Government to ensure timely investigation and response. You will deliver IOC reports monthly on the Government's internal network. The networks will be expanded as new communications equipment and other devices are developed and deployed into the network to ensure security of Government resources is increased as the mission progresses. Responsibilities

  • Supporting the user group as needed to assist in maintaining the current systems which includes scientific and technical analysis on a continuing basis, in research and analysis on system components, component engineering, response protocols and training regimens, new and emerging technologies and technology integration.
  • Providing ad hoc forensic analysis upon request to support threats detected by COTS Information Assurance (IA) systems.
  • Providing engineering services on programmatic issues related to programs, program security reviews and associated visits to contractor/performer/government sites.
  • Providing new or revised database structuring, vulnerability and intrusion testing, system network revisions, on-site user support and training, user requirements development and future system planning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity preferably in the Federal government, military or state/local government.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in computer forensic analysis.
  • 2 years' experience in critical incident response.
  • Current Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I professional certification.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
