About the position

ARES is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support the security control assessment, vulnerability assessment, software assurance, and risk assessment teams for the Nation's ballistic missile defense program. The role involves conducting research, analysis, and data gathering while performing threat, vulnerability, and capability maturity assessments. The analyst will apply critical thinking, conduct gap analyses, and develop implementation plans to enhance cybersecurity in large, complex defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat, vulnerability, and capability maturity assessments.
• Perform research, analysis, and data gathering activities.
• Apply critical thinking to identify gaps in cybersecurity measures.
• Develop implementation plans for improving cybersecurity in defense systems.
• Support key cybersecurity activities including vulnerability assessments and control development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Senior Cybersecurity certification such as CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
• Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards and practices.
• Experience in vulnerability assessments, control development, security plan documentation, and penetration testing.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Nmap, and ACAS.
