About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at Peraton is responsible for providing comprehensive cybersecurity support to the US Marine Corps (USMC) enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center operations. This role involves developing and managing accreditation packages, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards to enable critical mission execution for USMC worldwide customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support USMC enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and support accreditation package requirements using MCCAST.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring program supporting data-center operations.
  • Participate in vulnerability analysis and self-assessment technical analysis.
  • Monitor and report compliance status and support POA&M for known security vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with independent verification and validation teams and program office ISSM cybersecurity support.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify solutions for vulnerability mitigation.
  • Provide technical and authorization support for accreditation processes.
  • Conduct vulnerability management assessments using ACAS and other tools.
  • Prepare systems for review and independent verification and validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years, or PhD with 3 years of experience; HS diploma with 12+ years of experience considered.
  • Strong understanding and application of RMF and DISA STIG/Security framework implementation.
  • Experience creating and maintaining RMF-based accreditation packages.
  • Experience using MCCAST or eMASS for certification and accreditation.
  • Understanding of DOD cybersecurity infrastructure tools including PKI and data encryption.
  • Technical foundation with system administration skills for enterprise data center systems.
  • Experience with ITSM solutions and queue operations, preferably BMC Remedy.
  • Experience with data-center monitoring and management solutions.
  • Experience using Log Management and SIEM solutions for cybersecurity programs.
  • IAT III Certification and US DOD Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • RMF certification.
  • Experience with cloud implementation.
  • Expertise in Tenable ACAS vulnerability management and reporting.
  • Fundamental understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes, with ITIL training or certification preferred.
  • Agile SAFe certification or training.
