About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will support the US Marine Corps (USMC) in enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center operations, enabling worldwide customers to execute critical missions. This role involves comprehensive cybersecurity support, including the development and management of authorization to operate (ATO) packages, continuous monitoring, vulnerability analysis, and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support ATO package development, maintenance, and management for the data center.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring programs for data center operations.
  • Participate in vulnerability analysis and self-assessment technical analysis.
  • Monitor and report compliance status for cybersecurity measures.
  • Develop and maintain accreditation package requirements using USMC's accreditation tool - MCCAST.
  • Support accreditation activities for installed and in-deployment infrastructure.
  • Develop POA&M for identified vulnerabilities and remediation strategies.
  • Coordinate with independent verification and validation teams and program office ISSM for cybersecurity support.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify solutions for vulnerability mitigation.
  • Provide technical and authorization support for cybersecurity documentation.
  • Conduct vulnerability management assessments using ACAS and other tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years, or PhD with 3 years of experience; HS diploma with 12+ years of experience considered.
  • Strong understanding and application of RMF and DISA STIG/Security framework implementation.
  • Experience creating and maintaining RMF-based accreditation packages.
  • Experience using MCCAST or eMASS for certification and accreditation.
  • Understanding of DOD cybersecurity infrastructure tools including PKI, data encryption, and McAfee HBSS/ePO.
  • Technical foundation with system administration skills for enterprise data center systems.
  • Experience with virtualization, networking (CISCO, Palo Alto), storage (SAN, NAS), Windows, Linux, Oracle, and SQL database.
  • Experience with ITSM solutions and queue operations (BMC Remedy preferred).
  • Experience with data-center monitoring and management solutions.
  • Experience using Log Management and SIEM solutions for cybersecurity.

Nice-to-haves

  • RMF certification preferred.
  • Experience with cloud implementation desired.
  • Expertise in conducting Tenable ACAS vulnerability management and reporting.
  • Fundamental understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes; ITIL training or certification desired.
  • Agile SAFe certification or training.
