About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in helping government agencies understand and mitigate cyber risks. This position involves working closely with Navy programs to assess their cybersecurity posture, develop mitigation plans, and communicate complex security concepts to various stakeholders. The analyst will leverage their expertise to guide clients in securing mission-critical networks and systems while broadening their skills in cybersecurity and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships quickly with other teams and communicate security complexities to diverse audiences, including senior management.
• Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities in large enterprises.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas, utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats.
• Guide clients through the development of actionable plans based on risk assessments and compliance testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Information Assurance, managing cybersecurity analysis for DoD systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading cybersecurity assessments for Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation for Navy organizations.
• 3+ years of experience in developing HBSS policies.
• Experience using Xacta for cybersecurity risk and compliance management.
• Knowledge of Navy RMF execution and related processes, including NIST 800-53 security controls.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with classified RMF processes.
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Certification within 6 months of start date.
• DoD 8140 Certification.
