About the position

Secmation is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Software Development Engineers to join our development teams. This role focuses on the design, development, implementation, and testing of security solutions for embedded systems and defense applications. The position emphasizes hands-on secure software development, particularly for embedded systems, and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to develop advanced technical concepts. The successful candidate will contribute to projects involving cybersecurity engineering tools, advanced simulations, and the protection of AI/ML software, ensuring the technical execution of existing programs while paving the way for future senior-level opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and test security solutions for embedded systems and defense applications.
• Collaborate with management, internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to develop advanced technical concepts.
• Develop cybersecurity engineering tools and advanced simulations.
• Protect advanced AI/ML software from modern threats through secure software development.
• Ensure technical execution of existing programs in collaboration with the management team.

Requirements

• Current DoD Security Clearance Required (any level).
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 7+ years of progressive work experience in embedded software development targeting ARM or similar architectures.
• 5+ years of experience with software/security development in embedded projects based on C/C++ using Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with design and implementation of security controls across different development platforms.
• Hands-on technical experience on contracts with DoD laboratories/organizations.
• Expert level knowledge in cybersecurity technologies.
• Ability to interact and integrate with a geographically distributed technical team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
