About the position

Secmation is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Software Development Engineers to join our development teams. This role focuses on the design, development, implementation, and testing of security solutions for embedded systems and defense applications. The position emphasizes hands-on secure software development, particularly for advanced technical concepts in cybersecurity, including tools for autonomous systems and AI/ML software protection. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure the technical execution of programs and will have opportunities for career advancement as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design, development, implementation, and testing of security solutions for embedded systems and defense applications.
• Develop cybersecurity engineering tools and advanced simulations.
• Work closely with management and internal teams to develop advanced technical concepts.
• Ensure technical execution of existing programs in collaboration with subcontractors and customers.
• Present complex technical topics to customers and at conferences, and develop technical documentation.

Requirements

• Current DoD Security Clearance Required (any level).
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 7+ years of progressive work experience in embedded software development targeting ARM or similar architectures.
• 5+ years' experience with software/security development in embedded projects based on C/C++ using Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with design and implementation of security controls across different development platforms.
• Expert level knowledge in cybersecurity technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DoD laboratories/organizations such as Air Force Research Laboratory or Office of Naval Research.
• Ability to interact with a geographically distributed technical team in a fast-paced environment.
