About the position

The Senior Data Analyst, Client Data Strategies plays a crucial role in providing strategic direction to support clients' direct mail and omnichannel direct marketing campaigns. This position involves collaboration with internal agency account management and external clients to deliver marketing intelligence and campaign results through the use of agency BI tools, Excel analysis, and PowerPoint presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key client contact responsible for providing data-driven direct marketing campaign development support and results through dashboard development and/or Excel analysis and PowerPoint presentations
  • Develop presentations of data findings, analysis, business reviews, and lead and participate in client presentations
  • Lead ongoing effort to define, develop and enhance reporting and data capabilities within the organization
  • Work cross-functionally to develop analyses and KPIs to provide insights, observations, and recommendations on campaign effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain documentation, quality control (QC) to ensure results are accurate and complete
  • Provide response analysis through dashboards and/or reporting tools, like Excel to provide a seamless user experience for client and agency stakeholders
  • Collaborate with key internal agency stakeholders on campaign planning to determine client metrics, key performance indicators and objectives, and build automated dashboards based on campaign requirements
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to inform future marketing strategies, with the goal of program optimization
  • Verify accuracy of data and develop reporting standards and best practices to ensure data standardization and consistency for dashboards
  • Train and mentor other members of the Data Strategies team including but not limited to Account Managers, Account Coordinators and Data Services staff

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of marketing/predictive analytics experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel including the ability to create and formulate spreadsheets and build PowerPoint presentations
  • Expertise in programming languages (Java, Python, R, SAS, Scala, SQL)
  • Experience with statistical and mathematical analysis
  • Experience with machine learning for model building
  • Confident presenting to internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated analytical ability to use data to derive insights and make recommendations
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy of work
  • A strong sense of urgency and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative environment
  • Solid knowledge of relational database design
