About the position

The Senior Data Analyst in the Data Intelligence team at Acrisure is responsible for enhancing data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves delivering reporting and analytics capabilities within a multi-cloud data lakehouse, collaborating with various stakeholders, and mentoring junior analysts. The position emphasizes a customer-first mindset and aims to transition users from legacy information access to modern data enablement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of efficient and reliable reporting and analytics capabilities with a customer-first mindset.
  • Advance the transition of users from legacy means of accessing information to the future state strategy of data enablement.
  • Create presentations/visualizations of data to transform raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify, adopt, and evangelize data analysis best practices and technical standards.
  • Mentor and grow junior analysts across the team.
  • Advocate for and identify creative implementations to optimize business impact.
  • Empower others to grow understanding of the complexity of data by creatively scaling how teams' knowledge is shared and applied.
  • Help identify better practices, tools, and relevant trends that can improve data quality across the business.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Professional.
  • Ability to be a data storyteller and build data visualizations and reporting using third-party tools (Tableau, PowerBI or similar), with a preference for PowerBI.
  • Strong understanding of data models, structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in working with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand processes, and translate them to data, creating/evaluating associated KPIs.
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, and Python.
  • Experience with agile project management and business tools such as Jira & ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to unpack complex problems and find solutions.
  • Ability to understand the business purpose or problem behind a request.
  • Positive and creative problem-solving skills in the face of data challenges.
  • Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Strong teamwork, solution-centric, and customer-service-oriented attitude.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
