About the position
You will work closely with Chime’s Head of Economic Insights and Impact to support core economic research and reporting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to produce and analyze unique economic data, generate insightful economic analyses and shed light on the economic impact of Chime’s products and services. The role requires a broad range of technical data skills and the ability to turn data-driven insights into clear and compelling economic narratives. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $140,670.00 and up to $195,400.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Build ETL pipelines for core economic data tables
- Analyze large datasets, including financial, behavioral and survey data
- Create dashboards and data visualizations that communicate core economic trends and insights
- Produce regular economic reports and respond to ad hoc requests
- Work with Chime’s Head of Economic Impact and Insights to support core research on product impact and member financial progress
Requirements
- BA in Economics or a related field
- 5+ years in data-oriented roles such as economic consulting, analytics or data science
- Strong SQL skills required; experience with dbt a plus
- Strong R skills preferred, Python ok
- Interest in consumer finance and economics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a knack for economic storytelling and data visualization
