About the position

The Senior Data Analyst will join the Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center (IROCC) team in Bentonville, AR, focusing on providing analytics support to Ethics and Compliance programs across the enterprise. This role involves investigating and integrating data from various sources, designing and delivering BI dashboards, and translating complex business problems into effective technical solutions. The analyst will work with large-scale datasets, implement data modeling techniques, and conduct research to benchmark industry best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and integrate data from disparate and varied data sources.
  • Design, deliver, and support BI dashboards to uncover insights and characterize risk.
  • Translate complex business problems into effective technical solutions and impactful data visualizations.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis.
  • Partner with Ethics and Compliance stakeholders to translate challenging business problems into data analytics solutions.
  • Develop processes and tools that monitor, analyze, and continuously improve compliance programs.
  • Present findings verbally and in writing, making complex matters simple and easily understood.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Experience with languages used to manipulate data such as R, Python, SQL, VBA, and BigQuery (GCP).
  • Professional experience with database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics, particularly statistics.
  • Experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Dataiku.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce).
  • Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau).
