About the position

The Senior Data Analyst - Payments Fraud at Fiserv plays a crucial role in enhancing and monitoring the fraud risk ecosystem. This position focuses on minimizing fraud risk while maximizing customer experience through analytical processes that detect fraud attacks, analyze impacts, and recommend effective prevention and mitigation strategies. The analyst will create data-driven insights to inform organizational changes and improve fraud detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and execute analysis for identifying new fraud attacks and determining root causes of fraud events.
  • Maintain and monitor a suite of early warning monitors to identify abnormal activity and possible precursor attack activity.
  • Source, analyze, and deduce root causes and effective mitigation options across the network.
  • Manage fraud ecosystem measures to monitor the effectiveness and performance of fraud controls.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to ensure accuracy and speed by maintaining robust analytical capabilities and datasets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in Fin Tech, Ecommerce, Banking, and/or fraud prevention.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Competency in Python, SQL, and/or comparable data analysis skills including tools such as Snowflake, Palantir Foundry, Jupyter.
  • Experience mining complex datasets and generating business reports.
  • Experience presenting complex concepts and outcomes to senior leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence disciplines such as Machine Learning.
  • Fraud Analytics with ACAMS Fraud, ACFE certification.
