About the position

The Senior Data Analyst role at Adyen focuses on enhancing team efficiency and enabling self-service analytics for the Commercial organization. The position involves leveraging technical expertise to provide actionable insights, drive automation, and improve decision-making through data analysis and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal analytics teams to develop and optimize Revenue Operations data pipelines using PySpark and other big data tools.
  • Create and enhance ETLs to ensure data consistency and reliability.
  • Design LookML models and build Looker dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain a data governance strategy that ensures data quality and reliability.
  • Own technical documentation, creating detailed and consistent records for data processes, models, and pipelines.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for the Revenue Analytics team, providing troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Automate reporting processes to drive scalability in projects and products, such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Convert data into formats optimized for analysis to support commercial challenges faced by regional teams.
  • Identify business data needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure infrastructure and pipelines are in place for data collection and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional data teams to develop scalable and reusable frameworks for evaluating large datasets on pressing business questions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and processing.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a global, multicultural team.
  • Experience with analytical and statistical techniques, including both descriptive and predictive analytics (e.g., distributions, correlations, hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
  • Data wrangling expertise: skilled in cleaning, transforming, and organizing large datasets, handling missing data, detecting outliers, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Strong analytical skills: adept at extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets and translating them into actionable recommendations.
  • Availability for business trips to support collaboration on projects and other initiatives that may require in-person engagement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with commercial teams, particularly in B2B companies that rely on commercial data for informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Spark and Airflow.
  • A background in econometrics, data science, engineering, or other quantitative studies.
