About the position

The Supply Chain Data Analyst at Nordson MEDICAL plays a strategic role in enhancing supply chain performance through data-driven decision-making. This position involves gathering, cleaning, organizing, validating, analyzing, and presenting large datasets to support both strategic and tactical objectives. The Analyst will also act as a liaison between the business and IT, focusing on the development and deployment of supply chain-related reports, tools, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Compile data, manage databases, ensure data integrity, build reports, and drive continuous improvement of information metrics & data reporting.
  • Master complex data analytics.
  • Develop data visualization tools to support key Supply Chain metrics.
  • Analyze inventory data patterns and trends to resolve constraints and balance service, inventory, and cost.
  • Collaborate with the local site Procurement team on Kanban, component pull, and 'Plan for Every Part' by providing data and tools.
  • Analyze supply chain costs such as PPV, savings, inflation & forecasts, working closely with Finance and site supply chain teams.
  • Work with Commodity Leaders & Supplier Management to provide required metrics, scorecards, and analytics.
  • Identify & implement areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting for the Supply Chain team as needed.
  • Serve as the Supply Chain business process subject matter expert and liaison between IT and user community.
  • Standardize and implement new business process solutions in the ERP and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Audit master data needed to support Supply Chain and work with sites to update & maintain it.
  • Support new site integrations, training, and coaching for others with less experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • In lieu of degree, up to 4 years of additional related experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of related experience with knowledge of best practices and integration with other areas.
  • Ability to manage and analyze complex data and translate business requirements into application requirements.
  • Experience in data cleaning and interpretation of large datasets.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and predictive modeling.
  • Advanced statistical analysis skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a Procurement focus.
  • Familiarity with PowerBi and SQL.
