About the position

The Senior Data Analyst in the Trust & Safety Organization at Pinterest will support the Legal Team by conducting analyses and generating actionable insights. This role is crucial for providing accurate and timely operational data that empowers partner teams to make informed decisions, ensuring the safety and integrity of the Pinterest platform. The analyst will work on reporting, visualizations, and proactive analytical insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational performance and address complex business questions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses and provide technical guidance to support Enforcement Ops and Legal teams.
  • Develop metrics, reporting structures, and dashboards to measure and improve operational performance.
  • Partner with technical team members to standardize and improve existing data sources and reporting processes.
  • Identify operational pain points and leverage analytics to generate solutions and recommendations.
  • Work with limited manager guidance to proactively identify and answer complex business questions, driving process and decision-making improvements.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and management, utilizing tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ensure data integrity by cleaning, validating, and transforming data as necessary, preparing it for analysis.
  • Apply statistical methods and models to interpret data, perform hypothesis testing, and support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • At least 5/6+ years of relevant experience in the field of Data and Analytics.
  • Experience using quantitative analysis to identify areas of improvement and influence business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing complex data using SQL or comparable languages.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Creativity in developing new processes, conducting analyses, and providing recommendations.
  • Experience working with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in Trust & Safety (Good to have).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $114,750-$236,000 USD, eligible for equity.
