About the position

LeafLink is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing data organization, where data is essential for driving impactful decisions. This role will focus on enabling data-driven insights across the company, helping stakeholders shape their business lines through clear storytelling and a deep understanding of business needs. The Senior Data Analyst will also promote self-service analytics and train stakeholders to leverage data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers and investigate changes in key metrics.
  • Communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences and gather requirements from stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives to promote self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize a scientific approach to problem-solving to eliminate bias in decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance LeafLink's thought leadership in the Cannabis Data space.
  • Manage long-term projects by scoping work and coordinating with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an analyst or consultative role.
  • 1+ years of experience using a BI tool (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Consultative approach to working with stakeholders and gathering requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries against large datasets.
  • Experience working with dbt for data modeling and diagnosing data issues.
  • Experience using statistical modeling techniques such as time series forecasting, regression, and correlations.
  • Experience in using Python or R for advanced analysis (preferred).
  • Experience working in a modern data stack environment, preferably built on AWS.
