About the position

The Senior Data Analyst at Bank of America plays a crucial role in providing data management, complex analysis, and modeling to maximize profits and asset growth while minimizing risks. This position involves close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and validity, transforming large datasets into actionable insights, and developing analytics models to support business strategies. The role is integral to the Global Risk Analytics and Enterprise Independent Testing teams, focusing on risk management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform data management and complex analysis to maximize profits and minimize risks.
• Provide analytical support on various product strategies to meet company goals.
• Coordinate the production of databases and performance reports for senior management.
• Manage the review and analysis of trends in population distributions and recommend strategies.
• Direct the development of complex databases and program models for data extraction and statistical modeling.
• Oversee data design and analysis of portfolio trends, including credit score cutoffs and loss trends.
• Integrate the analysis team with other corporate units to align analysis with business strategies and objectives.
• Hire and train Risk Analysis Specialists and Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis or risk management.
• Expert knowledge of complex data architecture, including modeling and data science tools.
• Strong coding skills, particularly in SQL, SAS, and Excel.
• Experience managing large datasets using tools such as Hadoop.

Nice-to-haves

• PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field.
