About the position

The Senior Data Analyst position is focused on analyzing and interpreting data to improve business efficiency across various initiatives. The role involves developing creative solutions to reduce costs and meet business goals, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate findings. The analyst will also take on project management responsibilities in the absence of the Project Manager, providing expert guidance and support for business solutions while adhering to company policies and values.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret information for initiatives to improve business efficiency.
• Develop creative solutions within business areas to reduce costs and meet goals.
• Ensure data accuracy and assign necessary activities.
• Direct work streams of cross-functional projects to achieve desired results.
• Organize timelines and deliverables for project initiatives.
• Facilitate meetings with project teams to analyze and implement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate results of data analyses.
• Develop tools to support decision making and summarize needed information.
• Assume duties of Project Manager III in their absence, providing guidance and performing analyses.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to improve action plans and meet business needs.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and implement solutions.
• Model compliance with company policies and support the company mission and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics; OR 4 years of experience in data analytics.
• Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and IT Management.
• Experience providing recommendations to solve complex business issues.
• Experience developing SQL views and Stored Procedures for data insights.
• Understanding of data quality checks and suitable data sources.
• Experience creating and optimizing complex queries using big data and SQL.
• Experience developing schedules using Google Big Query for data automation.
• Experience creating data models and ETL processes using analytical tools like Power BI.
• Experience creating complex Power BI DAX Queries and managing Row Level Security.
• Experience building interactive reports and self-service dashboards using Power BI.
• Experience scheduling automatic refreshes in Power BI service.
• Experience creating automated workflows using Power Automate.
• Familiarity with agile project methodology using Jira.
