About the position

The Senior Data Analyst at Bank of America is responsible for performing data management, complex analysis, and modeling to maximize profits and asset growth while minimizing risks. This role involves providing analytical support for various product strategies, coordinating database production, and managing performance reports for senior management. The analyst will also oversee the development of complex databases and statistical models, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform data management and complex analysis to maximize profits and minimize risks.
• Provide analytical support on various product strategies to meet company goals.
• Coordinate the production of databases and performance reports for senior management.
• Manage the review and analysis of trends in current population distributions and recommend strategies.
• Direct the development of complex databases and program models to extract data.
• Oversee data design and analysis of portfolio trends, including credit score cutoffs and loss trends.
• Integrate the analysis team with other corporate units to ensure alignment with business strategies.
• Hire and train Risk Analysis Specialists and Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in relevant fields such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expert knowledge of complex data architecture and data science tools.
• Strong coding skills, particularly in SQL, SAS, and Excel.
• Experience managing large datasets using tools like Hadoop.

Nice-to-haves

• Mastery of Python and Tableau.
• Experience with machine learning.
