About the position

As a Senior Data Analyst at LeafLink, you will develop insights from data to support decision-making across the company. This role involves communicating findings to stakeholders, managing long-term projects, and leading efforts to promote self-service analytics. Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of SQL are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers and investigate changes in key metrics.
  • Use clear communication and empathy with stakeholders to gather the right requirements.
  • Clearly communicate findings to a variety of non-technical audiences.
  • Lead the charge in enabling data-driven decision-making by promoting self-service analytics.
  • Take a scientific approach to problem-solving to eliminate bias in decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders and team leads to push forward LeafLink's thought leadership in the Cannabis Data space.
  • Manage long-term projects by scoping work and coordinating stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an analyst or consultative role.
  • 1+ years of experience using a BI tool (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries against large datasets.
  • Experience working with dbt for data modeling and diagnosing data issues.
  • Experience using statistical modeling such as time series forecasting, regression, and correlations.
  • Experience in using Python or R for advanced analysis (is a plus).
  • Experience working in a modern data stack environment (preferably built on AWS).
