The Senior Data Analyst at Kaweah Health serves as an organizational resource for analyzing and utilizing data to measure and improve performance. This role involves transforming data into actionable insights that inform business decisions, with a focus on supporting various healthcare initiatives and projects. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams and the ability to lead small projects while managing complex data requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review, understand, analyze, and use data to measure or improve performance.
  • Transform data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.
  • Lead small projects and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Plan, scope, and estimate work effort, ensuring quality deliverables are produced on time.
  • Analyze user requirements and confer with project teams to confirm project requirements.
  • Support, manage, and organize electronic data according to Kaweah's policies and standards.
  • Gather and interpret relevant data and information, developing integrated data solutions.
  • Perform structured data requirements analysis and data modeling for application development.
  • Collaborate with teams to determine best solutions for project requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in Information Technology with experience in database management, design, data analysis, automated reporting, and ad-hoc reporting; or five years as a development programmer/analyst utilizing database techniques.
  • Experience extracting data from electronic medical records.
  • Preferred: Professional certifications and a BA/BS degree in a technology-related field.
  • Experience with Soarian, Elmer, Soarian Financials, eClinical Works, Cerner Millennium, and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Excel, and analytical tools such as R and Python.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of business processes and their interrelationships.
  • Knowledge of C#.Net, VBA, VB, OLE/ODBC.
  • Ability to communicate and mentor data science interns.
