About the position

The incumbent will lead the technical strategy, design, development, and implementation of a scalable, cloud-based data and analytics platform for UCI Health. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and other institutions within the University of California Health to support the enterprise vision. The position includes managing the platform solution to effectively utilize UCI Health data for current and future needs, with initial projects focusing on cloud infrastructure migration and expanding data platform capabilities for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy and design of a cloud-based data and analytics platform.
• Develop and implement scalable data solutions for UCI Health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other institutions to support enterprise vision.
• Administer and manage the data platform solution for effective data utilization.
• Design and implement infrastructure migration to the cloud.
• Expand data platform capabilities for dynamic reporting and advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Strong track record in leading technical strategy and development of Enterprise Data Solutions.
• Experience working with stakeholders across multiple IT systems in a large enterprise.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining technical documentation in centralized repositories.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of Big Data solutions architecture and management.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Data Pipelines, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Data Systems Integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable data solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with modern data enterprise solutions integrating data from multiple sources with advanced analytics capabilities.
• Ability to work in an agile team structure.
• 3+ years of experience in pipeline orchestration tools and CI/CD processes, preferably with cloud technologies.
