About the position

The Senior Data Architect is responsible for developing and managing data architecture solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves overseeing data at rest and in flight, promoting enterprise data standards, and managing metadata and data modeling processes. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to data architecture policies and standards, while also providing technical guidance for key projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage NMDP's Data Architecture.
• Establish partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to enterprise data architecture policies.
• Ensure appropriate data capture, storage, and usage in compliance with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical guidance and direction for enterprise-wide projects related to information architecture.
• Facilitate cooperation among stakeholders and implement process improvements.
• Support project delivery teams with architecture guidance.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Analysts to develop database models based on requirements.
• Lead the planning, design, and oversight of data models and database structures.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP environments.
• Define project-level artifacts and requirements for inclusion in project plans.
• Manage relationships with project teams through positive leadership.
• Analyze business data to identify patterns and correlations.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Modeling of OLTP systems using ERD and/or UML modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in using PowerDesigner or other modeling tools.
• Experience in data pipelines and integration techniques.
