About the position

Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Data Architect with an active TS/SCI clearance to support KMS and our government customer at Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. This position is a hybrid opportunity, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work. The Senior Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures within federal government environments, ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience as a Senior Architect, with a strong focus on Zero Trust technology. This includes extensive expertise in designing and implementing access controls, identity management, encryption, and network segmentation in large-scale government systems. The Senior Data Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive reference architectures that outline Zero Trust principles, components, and interactions within federal government systems. In addition to architectural responsibilities, the role involves designing robust network architectures that integrate Zero Trust principles, including secure zones, micro-segmentation, and software-defined perimeters. The architect will also be tasked with creating centralized and resilient identity and access management systems, leveraging federated identity and strong authentication methods. Furthermore, the position requires the design of end-to-end data protection solutions tailored to government data sensitivity and compliance requirements, as well as secure cloud architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles. The Senior Data Architect will also architect endpoint security solutions, design and implement policies for enforcing access controls, and develop scalable security analytics infrastructures. A deep understanding of federal cybersecurity regulations, policies, and frameworks is essential, along with proficiency in network security, cloud security, and encryption methodologies. Strong leadership skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders on architectural decisions. Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and architecture are highly desirable, and candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field along with a current DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance.
